The Seasons You Never Want to Forget

New parents cuddling their newborn during a lifestyle photography session.

Can I tell you something about parenthood?

I've noticed something funny about us parents.

We spend months counting down to the next milestone. The first smile. The first steps. The first day of school.

Then one day, we're looking at photos, wondering when their cheeks got less squishy and how they suddenly became so grown up, stinky, and moody.

That's why I love what I do.

Not because every stage is perfect, but because every stage disappears.

One minute you're rocking a newborn at 3 a.m., and the next you're chasing a toddler through the playground or packing a school lunch in a boring-looking lunch box because they don't like the Mickey Mouse one anymore.

Whether you're expecting, celebrating a first birthday, updating family photos, or sending a kid off to college, these are the moments worth hanging onto.

Not because they're perfect.

Because they're yours.

  • My role is to photograph you in a way that feels natural, honest, and intentional, without pressure to be anything more than you already are.

  • I create a relaxed, guided experience that takes the pressure off, so you can show up as you are and walk away with photos that feel honest, and true to you.

  • Family and maternity sessions, couples and engagements, and graduation and milestone sessions, each approached with intention, stress-free, and a focus on what feels natural to you.

What Makes My Photography Different

There are a lot of family photographers in Maryville, but my approach is intentionally different.

Hi, I’m Victoria, the heart behind VictoriaT. Photography.
I specialize in capturing genuine, joy-filled moments in a soft and timeless way. Whether it’s your baby’s first year, a graduation milestone, or a simple family session, my role is to photograph it in a way that feels natural, honest, and intentional, without pressure to be anything more than you already are.

A little about how I work

I’m not going to line everyone up and ask you to smile at me the whole time.

I’ll probably ask you to:

  • get a little closer than feels natural

  • walk, move, and interact instead of standing still

  • focus on each other more than the camera

I’m always watching for the in-between moments—the way your kid reaches for your hand, the quick glance between you and your partner, the small things that actually tell your story.

That’s what I want you to remember.

  • "I can’t express how happy I am with the outcome of my family photos, I have 4 little including a 3 month old and she captured such precious memories for us, my kids felt so comfortable with her she’s amazing with kids so I’m so grateful to her. ❤️❤️"

  • “Victoria has beautifully captured our girls best moments and milestones that we now get to keep forever. She’s patient and attentive. I appreciate her dedication and hard work!”

    -Tami

  • “Victoria did such an amazing job! My kids were not exactly patient but she was. She managed to capture our family beautifully despite my one year old not wanting to do anything besides run around. She has such a wonderful eye for the perfect location and shot. Will definitely be back as the years progress with these three sassy boys.”

Family Photos Are Not a Test

I feel like somebody needs to tell parents this.

Your kids do not have to earn family photos.

They don't have to sit still.

They don't have to smile on command.

They don't even have to be in a good mood the entire time.

I've photographed enough toddlers to know that the second you expect them to behave perfectly, they suddenly develop very strong opinions about everything.

That's okay.

We're not trying to create a family that belongs in a catalog.

We're documenting your family.

The giggles, the cuddles, the chaos, the snacks somebody inevitably asks for halfway through the session.

Those little things are usually the moments parents end up loving most.

So... Where Should We Take Photos?

Honestly? Half the battle is figuring out where to go.

The good news is East Tennessee is packed with beautiful spots.

Some families love the open fields around Maryville where kids can run wild without anyone worrying about grass stains.

Some want giant trees and walking paths like Sandy Springs Park or Springbrook Park.

Some go further and fall in love with Sequoyah Hills because it feels like you stumbled into a postcard.

And some of my favorite sessions happen right at home where your kids are comfortable and everything feels familiar.

If you're not sure what location fits your family, don't worry. I'll help you choose.

It's part of the job, and I spend an embarrassing amount of time scouting places that photograph beautifully.

From family photography and maternity sessions to newborns, milestones, couples, graduates, and intimate weddings, I photograph the seasons of life that deserve to be remembered. Based in Maryville, Tennessee, I serve families and couples throughout Knoxville and the surrounding East Tennessee area.

The Moments I Photograph

Family Sessions

For the families in the thick of it. The snack negotiations, the silly faces, the kids who can't sit still for more than thirty seconds. Family sessions are relaxed, playful, and focused on the moments you'll miss someday.

Maternity & Newborn

The season where everything is changing and somehow standing still at the same time. From growing bellies to tiny newborn stretches, these sessions are about holding onto the days that feel endless now but somehow pass in a blink.

Milestones

Sitting up. Crawling. First birthdays. Missing front teeth. The little stages that don't seem little until they're gone. Milestone sessions celebrate all the wonderful in-between moments of childhood.

Couples & Engagements

Whether you're newly engaged, celebrating an anniversary, or just want photos that aren't selfies from your camera roll, these sessions are all about documenting your relationship as it is right now.

Microweddings & Birthday Parties and other Intimate Events

Not every love story needs a ballroom and 200 guests. Whether you're planning a backyard wedding, courthouse ceremony, elopement, or intimate celebration with your favorite people, I'll be there to document the big moments and all the little ones in between.

Seniors & Graduates

You survived the exams, the group projects, and whatever that one class was. We should probably celebrate that.

Now it's time for the fun part.

Graduation sessions are a chance to celebrate everything you've accomplished and capture this season before life takes off in a new direction. Bring your cap and gown, your college gear, your best friend, or even your dog. Let's make it feel like you.
