Senior & Grad Portraits

Hello Graduate,

This session isn't about checking graduation photos off a list. It's about celebrating everything that got you here.

Your photos should feel personal, fun, and completely unapologetically you.

Sure, we'll get the cap and gown photos.

But let's make it more fun than that.

Bring your cap and gown, but don't stop there.

Bring the outfit that makes you feel confident. Bring your best friend who survived the journey with you. Bring your college jersey, your instrument, your coffee addiction, your dog, or anything that tells the story of this chapter.

Whether you're celebrating high school, college, or a new chapter ahead, these photos are about capturing who you are right now and everything you've accomplished.

You’re stepping into something new

Let’s document the version of you that got here

This isn’t just about a cap and gown.

It’s about everything that led you here, the work, the growth, the quiet progress that often goes unseen.

Before everything changes, take a moment to recognize where you are.

What Makes This Different

Simple, intentional, and focused on you

There’s no need for complicated setups or over-styled scenes.

The focus stays on you, your presence, your energy, and the stage you’re stepping out of.

Nothing distracting. Nothing exaggerated. Just a clear, confident reflection of who you are right now.

As your Maryville graduation photographer, I keep things minimal and intentional so your senior photos feel clean, timeless, and personal.

Whether you're a high school senior, a UT Knoxville grad, or finishing up at Maryville College, the approach stays the same. We keep it simple, we keep it personal, and we let the photos look like an actual moment instead of a posed performance.

When Should You Book?

Honestly, earlier than you think.

The best window for senior and grad photos is usually a few months before graduation, while the weather is still cooperating and before everyone's calendar gets swallowed by finals, ceremonies, and goodbye parties.

If you have a yearbook deadline, an announcement to mail out, or a specific date your school needs photos by, that's the real deadline to work backward from, not graduation day itself.

A few things worth planning around:

Cap and gown availability. Some schools don't hand these out until close to graduation, so if yours is one of them, we can always do a two part session, one now for everything else, and a quick add on later just for the cap and gown shots.

Spring and early summer book up fast. If you know you want a spring session, the earlier you reach out, the more flexibility we'll have with dates.

Weather backup plans. East Tennessee weather can be unpredictable, so booking with a little buffer before your real deadline gives us room to reschedule if we need to.

The short version, don't wait until the week before graduation to start thinking about this. Reach out as soon as you have a rough timeline, and we'll figure out the rest together.

A Few Things Graduates Usually Ask

What should I wear?
Whatever makes you feel like you. Bring your cap and gown for sure, but also bring an outfit that actually feels like your style, your college gear, a jersey, or anything that tells the story of this chapter. We'll usually get a few different looks in one session.

What if it rains or the weather doesn't cooperate?
We'll just reschedule. East Tennessee weather can be unpredictable, especially in spring, so I always build a little flexibility into booking for exactly this reason. No stress, no rush, we'll find a new date that works.

Can I bring friends or family?
Of course. Immediate family members can join at no extra cost during a Full Session. Friends are welcome too, just know there's a small fee per additional person outside of immediate family.

Do you only do outdoor sessions?
Outdoor is the most popular choice since it photographs beautifully and feels natural, but we can talk through other location options too. The goal is always finding a space that feels like you and lets you stand out.

Location

Based in Maryville, Tennessee

I photograph seniors and graduates throughout Knoxville, Maryville, Oak Ridge, Lenoir City, and the surrounding area, including UT Knoxville, Maryville College students, and local high school seniors.

We'll choose a location that feels open, simple, and aligned with your style, whether that's a natural outdoor setting, a quiet park near campus, or a more structured backdrop.

The goal is always the same: a space that allows you to stand out without distraction.
