Maryville & Knoxville Maternity Photographer
serving Knoxville, Farragut, Oak Ridge, and other surrounding cities
Maternity photos don’t have to be a whole production.
There’s a lot of pressure around maternity photos to look a certain way.
You don’t need that here.
Some of the best moments happen when you stop thinking about the camera.
A Maternity Session That Feels Easy
You don’t need to feel “camera-ready” to have beautiful maternity photos.
I’ll guide you through the entire session with gentle direction and natural prompts, so nothing feels forced or awkward. The focus is on connection, movement, and emotion, creating images that feel soft, genuine, and timeless.
This experience is perfect for:
First-time moms
Growing families
Anyone wanting natural, lifestyle maternity photos
Those who feel nervous or unsure in front of the camera
And before your session even starts, I’ll help with the details too. We’ll choose a location around Maryville or Knoxville that fits the look you want, talk through outfits, and plan everything ahead of time so when photo day comes, you can simply show up.
What to Expect During Your Maternity Session
We’ll start easy and give you a few minutes to get comfortable in front of the camera. From there, we’ll move through a mix of maternity portraits, photos with your partner or kids, and different spots around our location.
There’s no rushing through a giant list of poses. We’ll walk, move around, change things up, and take our time creating a gallery with plenty of variety.
Want to bring a second outfit or have an idea you’ve been saving for your maternity photos? Tell me! I love knowing what you have in mind so we can make it part of the plan.
The Kind of Images We’ll Create
Your maternity session will focus on:
Soft, glowing natural light
Gentle movement and connection
Emotional, in-between moments
A warm, timeless feel
These aren’t stiff or overly posed portraits, they’re images that reflect how this season truly feels.
More Than Just a Baby Bump
When most people think about maternity photos, they picture the baby bump.
But that's not really what I'm photographing.
I'm photographing the excitement, the anticipation, the nervousness, and all the little moments that happen before your baby arrives.
Pregnancy has a strange way of making time move both incredibly fast and painfully slow.
You're counting down the weeks, refreshing baby name lists, organizing tiny clothes, and wondering if you'll ever be comfortable again.
At the same time, this season quietly slips away.
As a Maryville maternity photographer, I've worked with first-time moms, growing families, and parents welcoming their fourth baby. Every pregnancy looks different, but they all have one thing in common: this season doesn't last very long.
Maternity photography gives you a chance to slow down and remember what life felt like before your family changed forever.

When Is the Best Time for Maternity Photos?
Most maternity sessions take place between 28 and 34 weeks, when your bump is beautifully visible but you’re hopefully still comfortable enough to move around and enjoy your session.
I recommend reaching out earlier, though. Booking during your second trimester gives us more time to choose your location, plan outfits, and find a date that works best for you.
Every pregnancy is different, so there’s no one perfect week for everyone. If you’re not sure when to schedule your maternity photos, just reach out and we can figure out the timing together.
What to Wear for Your Maternity Photos
The best outfit is one that makes you feel comfortable and beautiful, but there are a few things that photograph especially well for maternity sessions.
Long, flowy dresses are always a favorite because they add movement and beautifully show your bump. Soft neutrals, earthy tones, pastels, and subtle textures also work really well with my light and airy photography style.
If your partner or kids are joining, you don’t need to perfectly match. Coordinating colors and keeping everyone in the same general color palette usually photographs much better.
Not sure what to wear? Send me photos of the outfits you’re considering! I’m always happy to help you choose what will photograph best with your location and the look you want for your maternity photos.
Every Pregnancy Looks Different
Some moms arrive with Pinterest boards and outfit ideas already picked out.
Some book a session because their husband reminded them they're running out of time.
Some are counting down the days until they meet their first baby.
Others are chasing a toddler through the park while wondering how they're going to do this all over again.
As a Maryville maternity photographer, I photograph first-time moms, growing families, and parents welcoming babies into the world throughout Knoxville and East Tennessee. Every family brings a different story, which is why I don't believe maternity photos should feel stiff, overly posed, or one-size-fits-all.
No two pregnancies look exactly the same.
That's why I don't expect your maternity session to fit into a perfect little box.
We'll create something that feels like you, your family, and this season of life
Now, where are we taking these photos?
This might be one of my favorite parts.
Your location sets the whole mood for your maternity photos. We can go soft and romantic, clean and editorial, green and outdoorsy, cozy and intimate, or somewhere that feels completely like you during this season.
As a Maryville and Knoxville maternity photographer, I've photographed expecting mamas and growing families all around East Tennessee, and I've definitely collected a few favorite maternity photo locations along the way.
These are some of the places I love and recommend:
The Holmstead Studio | Knoxville, TN
If you want your maternity photos to feel soft, intimate and a little more elevated, The Holmstead Studio is such a beautiful choice.
With its bright indoor spaces, glass house, open fields and gorgeous natural light, we can create several completely different looks in one session. We can start inside with something more intimate and then head outdoors for those dreamy golden-hour photos.
It's especially beautiful for maternity sessions because we can create plenty of variety without asking a very pregnant mama to hike halfway across East Tennessee. A win.
Best for: soft, romantic, intimate and light-filled maternity photos.
Knoxville Botanical Garden | Knoxville, TN
Flowers, greenery, stone architecture, open spaces... basically everything we could ask for in one location.
The Knoxville Botanical Garden is one of my favorite outdoor locations for maternity photos in Knoxville because there are so many different backgrounds within a relatively small area.
It's beautiful for maternity portraits on your own, photos with your partner, or a maternity session that includes your older babies too.
Best for: romantic, garden-inspired, colorful and timeless maternity photos.
The Bleak House | Knoxville, TN
If you have a beautiful maternity dress you've been waiting to wear, this might be the place.
The Bleak House in Knoxville gives us historic architecture, elegant indoor spaces, large windows, columns, gardens and greenery. That means we can create a maternity gallery that feels polished and timeless while still keeping everything natural.
And because we have both indoor and outdoor possibilities, there's plenty of variety without changing locations.
Best for: elegant, timeless, romantic and elevated maternity photos.
The White Room Studio | Knoxville, TN
Clean, bright and completely weather-proof. Which, when you're pregnant and have already planned your hair, makeup and outfit, is a very nice thing.
The White Room Studio in Knoxville is perfect for maternity photos that feel simple, modern and completely focused on you and your growing family.
A studio maternity session also gives us more control over lighting and temperature, making it a great option during the hottest and coldest months in East Tennessee.
Best for: modern, minimal, intimate and editorial maternity photos.
Sequoyah Hills Park | Knoxville, TN
If you're picturing a flowing dress, soft golden light and lots of greenery, Sequoyah Hills Park might be exactly what you're looking for.
It's one of my favorite outdoor Knoxville maternity photo locations because it gives us plenty of room to move around without the session feeling overly posed or formal.
Bring your partner, bring the kids, or make the session completely about you and that beautiful bump.
Best for: natural, relaxed, romantic and golden-hour maternity photos.
Bicentennial Park | Maryville, TN
And of course, we have some beautiful options right here in Maryville.
Bicentennial Park is a great choice for a relaxed outdoor maternity session with greenery, trees, walking paths and plenty of little spots to photograph without having to travel into Knoxville.
It's especially nice for families wanting to include little ones and keep their Maryville maternity session easy and laid-back.
Best for: casual, natural, family-centered and relaxed maternity photos.
Downtown Maryville | Maryville, TN
If greenery and open fields aren't really your thing, let's take your maternity photos downtown.
Downtown Maryville has some beautiful little corners that give maternity photos a completely different feel. One of my favorites is the walkway near Bella, with its brick, architecture and tucked-away downtown feel.
It's perfect for a dressier maternity look and gives us something a little more modern and editorial while still feeling relaxed. We can also walk around the surrounding downtown area and create several different looks without going far.
And if your partner is coming along, this location is so good for making your maternity session feel more like the two of you out together before baby arrives.
Best for: modern, editorial, romantic and downtown maternity photos.
But you don't have to choose one of my favorites.
These are recommendations, not a rulebook.
Want your maternity photos at home? Absolutely.
Have beautiful family property or a field you love? Show me.
Want to rent a completely different studio? Send it my way.
Have a Pinterest board full of maternity photos but absolutely no idea where they were taken? Send me that too. We'll figure out what kind of location will give us that feeling.
I photograph maternity sessions throughout Maryville, Knoxville and East Tennessee, so we'll find a location that works for your vision, your family and, most importantly, your comfort.
Tell me how you want your maternity photos to feel, and I'll help you find the place that brings it all together.
Please note: Some studios and private locations, including The Holmstead Studio, The White Room Studio and Bleak House, require an additional location or rental fee. Plan for approximately $60 when choosing one of these locations. I'll go over any applicable location fees with you before we finalize your session.

Hear it from my clients:
“I just wanna start by saying how much I appreciate Victoria”
She did an amazing job. She had so much patience with me and my husband. This was our first time photo shoot and I can honestly say she knew what she was doing. Just her alone made the experience great she made me feel so amazing and beautiful and as a woman being 8 1/2 months pregnant we all know how that can feel. Thank you so much Victoria great job.”
